F 900 GS Skid Plate - AXP

Made from 8mm thick high-density polyethylene plastic, this skid plate offers complete protection for the engine block, exhaust, water pump and crankcases while also including compatibility with BMW crash bars.
The front and rear mounting systems are taken directly into the engine block with a shim system for increased strength.
8mm thick foams are glued to each side of the skid plate to prevent friction and to the reinforcement under the engine to cushion shocks.
HDPE is stronger than carbon and 30 to 40% lighter than its aluminum equivalent.
It returns to its original shape after impacts and allows gliding over obstacles.
